Yorgos Maraziotis (ยบ1984, Athens) holds an MA cum laude degree in Fine Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and a BA (HONS) First Class degree from the University of Wolverhampton. He has also studied Printmaking at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He uses installation art, painting, printmaking and text, and focuses on the topics of belonging, contemporary habitation and human relations. Through dialogue and an economy of media, he intervenes in public domains and art institutions and creates participatory environments that examine their origins. He is a former resident artist of Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (North Adams, USA), an ARTWORKS Fellow of Stavros Niarchos Foundation and a grantee of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, the European Union and the Goethe Institut. He lives and works in Antwerp.
