Yorgos Maraziotis (1984, GR) holds an MA degree in Fine Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He has also studied Printmaking at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and Visual Arts (BA Hons) in Wolverhampton University. His practice - spanning in sculpture, design, printmaking and archiving - questions domesticity, contemporary habitation and human relations. Through language and common materials of the plastic arts he explores the identity of public domains and art institutions. He is a former resident artist of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (North Adams, USA), an ARTWORKS Fellow of Stavros Niarchos Foundation and a grantee of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, the European Union and the Goethe Institut. He lives and works in Antwerp.
