Yorgos Maraziotis (1984, GR) holds an MA degree in Fine Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and a BA (HONS) First Class degree from the University of Wolverhampton. He has also studied Printmaking at the School of Visual Arts in New York. His practice - spanning sculpture, painting, printmaking and text - questions domesticity, contemporary habitation and human relations. Through language and common materials of the plastic arts he explores the identity of public domains and art institutions. He is a former resident artist of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (North Adams, USA), an ARTWORKS Fellow of Stavros Niarchos Foundation and a grantee of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, the European Union and the Goethe Institut. He lives and works in Antwerp.
